Background in: telecommunication systems; process control; systems design, build and maintenance; mining; printing and publishing; project management, general management, retail systems including 'Forecourt' and 'Quick Shops'. Due to my vision of clipps and the state of the internet at the time, the service started as a plain html page service. As technologies progressed clipps progressed to a dynamic data base driven system. Having gone through many learning curves I realised that I needed additional high level technical resources, preferably a partner who could share my vision. I spoke to a number of developers, all liked the concept but I had my doubts about their commitment to a project of this magnitude.
One day a systems analyst caught my attention, she was sliding down a banister. What soon became apparent was that she had the necessary skills, stood up for what she believed in, saw the potential of clipps and was willing to share and develop the vision.

It started for me, one day, while attempting to slide down a banister :-). It was after 'one of those' corporate meetings and I found myself thinking about what it was that I doing and how it was contributing to anything that was going to make a difference. Then Louis shared his idea with me - starting with a little packet of paper clips, all different shapes and sizes, and I was supposed to guess what it was all about! Well, I think I came close to guessing :-) and now clipps has become part of my vision and has grown with it.
I studied Computer Science, Psychology and Neuro Linguistic Programming and have been designing and developing software for about a decade now. It always amazed me that technology often lacked the more human interface, the thing that would make it friendly, intuitive and helpful, the diference that would make the diference. I believe we are acheiving this with clipps and it is my dream that clipps becomes part of your vision in promoting South Africa too!
